Westrock Coffee Roasting

Westrock Coffee Company began in 2009 with the purchase of a neglected coffee mill called Rwanda Trading Company in Kigali, Rwanda.  Their intent was to build a coffee company that would impact the lives of farmers, paying farmers a fair price for their coffee as well as offering training and support in order to build sustainable, long-lasting partnerships. Westrock’s impact in Rwandan was almost immediate and widespread.

The success of Rwanda Trading Company led them to expand operations to what it is today – an international operation with reach in 18 coffee growing countries around the globe.

For farmers, their efforts mean fair, consistent partnerships and opportunities to invest in their farms. In turn, farmers can succeed, grow their impact in their own communities and afford basic necessities such as food, education, shelter, and the list goes on.  Today, Westrock has impacted the lives of more than 80,000 smallholder coffee farmers.

Each blend is ethically sourced and carefully crafted.  Westrock has a team of quality experts, quality graders and coffee cuppers who work with their roasters to create roast calculations that are exclusive to each varietal, working to develop unique blends and ensure consistency in every cup. Each minute matters to them – too few or too many permanently alters the task of the coffee. After the roasting, they sample the coffee again before packaging it for you.
