Brisk Coffee was founded in 1968 with a 100-pound batch roaster, a small warehouse, one delivery truck, and an immense passion for fine coffees. At Brisk Coffee they pride themselves on freshness considering it the key component to quality. They also follow a simple rule: not a single bean is roasted until an order is placed. That’s right—talk about fresh! The reason behind that idea has to do with the way they roast and the knowledge they have of the roasting process. Their belief is the flavor of a coffee peaks after roasting and then diminishes over time, even in a sealed bag, and very quickly once exposed to air, light, and moisture.
