Jim’s Organic Coffee

At Jim’s Organic Coffee, the experience is a product of patience: from an organic farmer responsibly growing the most flavorful beans, to a roaster ensuring that each batch hits the flavor notes just right. Of course, the story behind it all begins with Jim.
After starting his career on Wall Street in 1985, Jim was hired to run a company that was starting to work with specialty coffee in 1988 – before the gourmet coffee revolution exploded. That experience opened his eyes and taste buds to the world of quality coffee. This is where he also started getting offers on organic coffee. Unfortunately, at the time, roaster buyers of organic were few and far between.
In 1992, Jim followed up on his desire for organic coffee and started the world’s first all-organic coffee roaster. He then sold the company and started Jim’s Organic Coffee in 1996 with the same focus on all-organic high-quality coffee. As a camper and lover of the outdoors, Jim brought a vital concern for nature that continues to make Jim’s coffee more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
Today, after 20 years of slow and steady growth, Jim’s has grown to
18 people who care about what they do and the impact they have on the environment, communities of producing countries, and the people who enjoy their coffee. Supporting specific educational projects such as supplying a high school in Uganda with critical science equipment is just one example of how Jim’s goes beyond its core business of buying, roasting, and providing the highest-quality organic coffees. The Jim’s team is a hard working bunch, dedicated to quality and sustainability. The team takes great joy in being a part of your everyday coffee life and making the Jim’s Organic Coffee experience an enjoyable one.
