Thirsty? New Beverages for the New Year
Oat Milk Creamer
Last year, we predicted non-traditional milks and creamers would grow, and we were right! We saw a growth of 56% in 2018, and 2019 is shaping up to be all about oat milk. In fact, in recent months, oat milk accounted for 6% of all non-traditional milk sales and is forecasted to reach double-digits this upcoming year.
Oat milk has a famously stout mouth-feel without any danger of nut allergies. Plus, it’s environmentally friendly. Not to mention, it froths really well in coffee. And who doesn’t love a good froth?
Flavored Cold Brew Coffee
Cold-brew has become a year-round staple with new flavors to keep up with changing tastes. In the past two years, cold brew has seen a 400% increase in sales. What new flavors will drive that craving in 2019? Here’s a list:

Cauliflower has been a trend for a few years with fresh-prepared and frozen goods like pizza. This year, we’re finally seeing it become the star it was meant to be. 2019 will see a lot of new cauliflower products that offer a healthy alternative to carb-heavy snacks, adding nutritional value to your snack roster.
Fruit Leather and Bites
Fruit leather and fruit bites almost doubled in sales from 2017 to 2018, and are projected to continue to grow. As a healthy fruit snack with packaged convenience, we can see why. These snacks are a throwback to the simpler days of our childhood, but with minimal added sugar, they are a great healthy choice to add more fruit to your diet.
Collagen, Collagen, Collagen
As a popular part of the famous Ketogenic “Keto” Diet, collagen-infused snacks are a big hit. As you get older, your body produces less of the natural protein and your fabulous skin and nails suffer because of it. So, keep your team feeling their finest with the snacks to help them do it.
As the years pass, more and more companies and consumers are concerned about where their food comes from, and how to contribute to a better environment. A major issue today is simply food waste. With snacks like wine grape raisins or bars made with recovered grains, your team can be snack happy and environmentally conscious too.
