This month’s branch spotlight focuses on Canteen’s St. Petersburg branch, which recently partnered with University of South Florida (USF) to bring healthy snack and beverage options to university students. Canteen provided multiple2bU vending machines, which are stocked with healthier alternatives to most standard vending machines. The machines are located on both the USF Tampa campus and the USF St. Petersburg campus, with university business services officials considering adding machines at USF Health Center and Campus Recreation locations due to positive reception.
As is common at most universities, many USF students don’t have time throughout the day for sit-down meals and are seeking healthier meal and snack alternatives. Jennifer DiPrete, director of Wellness Education at USF, brought up the point that healthier food not only benefits the bodies, but the minds of university students and faculty as well, helping fuel and motivate them to concentrate and focus during classes.
The 2bU machines provided by our St. Petersburg Canteen branch offer organic, all-natural, and locally sourced items. The product selection is carefully designed to cater to students with vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free diet restrictions, as well as the general public, with popular brands like Clif, NuGo, Zico, Honest, Kettle, Larabar, Kind, Newman’s Own, and Barbara’s.
Our St. Petersburg branch provides healthy vending services to businesses and organizations throughout the St. Petersburg and Tampa region, as well as traditional snack and beverage vending, micro-market vending, and office coffee and refreshment services. Our vending and refreshment services are suited for universities, office environments, healthcare facilities, industrial locations, and more.
