Meet Linda Lancaster, Office Administrator for our Washington CRS branch, loving wife and mother of two sons, and proud veteran. Linda grew up as the daughter of a military man – constantly moving all over the US. By the time she was in high school, her father’s example motivated her to become part of the ROTC, and the US Army following high school graduation.
Her first position in the military was a Cargo Specialist where she helped ensure that Army forces received supplies, weapons, equipment, and mail on a daily basis, all over the world. Then, in the early 1990’s, Linda was deployed to Egypt to aid in Operation Desert Storm.
Later in her military career, she was transferred back to her home in Ft. Eustis, where she worked in the Post Headquarters as well as the Post Heavy Equipment Training and Licensing Department for two years.
Today, Linda is a part of the Canteen family, working with drivers in the early morning to help them start their day. She also ensures all office, warehouse, and route teams are in sync.
Looking back on her time in the military, Linda says it taught her that –
– and these are the qualities of a true leader. Linda truly exemplifies these qualities in her daily work ethic. We are so proud and honored to have her on our team!
