How did ShineWater get started?
ShineWater® was originally developed by an FDA physician, Phillip Davis. He saw a lot of vitamin D deficiency in his practice and decided to create a beverage to help people stay hydrated and address the lack of vitamin D in their lives. Our current owners, Rod Hildebrant and Matthew Meehan, bought ShineWater in October of 2019, and it’s been in high growth mode since.
Where did the name come from?
Vitamin D is the “sunshine vitamin.” And since every bottle of ShineWater® has 100% of your daily vitamin D, it was the obvious name choice. That’s why we call it Sunshine In A Bottle®.
