Ingredients
  

  • 1 3/4 cup old fashioned oats
  • 3 cups apples diced
  • 1 qt water
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 6 tbsp walnuts

Method
 

  1. Place all ingredients (except the walnuts) into a pot and bring to a boil
  2. Simmer for 5 minutes
  3. Serve with toasted walnuts
