Best Guac on the Block

This is a quick and easy guacamole recipe by our chef, Mat Skinner, with a few "secret" ingredients to give it some extra flavor.

Ingredients Method

Ingredients
  

  • 4 large ripe Hass avocados
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 2 freshly squeezed limes
  • 1/2 jalapeño seeded and minced
  • 3 tbsp fresh chopped cilantro
  • 2 dashes hot sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 large Roma diced tomato
  • 1/4 cup cotija cheese can substitute queso fresco or feta

Method
 

  1. Using a fork, roughly mash the avocado. (Don't overdo it! The guacamole should be a little chunky.)
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and stir.
  3. Before serving, top the guacamole top with cotija cheese.
