A New Home for a Veteran
The freedom our military men and women fight so hard for is a gift we appreciate as a nation. To honor our heroes, the Canteen Charlotte and corporate team jumped at the opportunity to support the Habitat for Humanity home build for local veteran, Kenneth. The Charlotte branch even committed to providing lunches for the duration of the build.
The project kicked off with an opening ceremony on July 7th where Canteen associate and US Navy veteran, Crystal Fulton served as the Navy representative in the presentation of colors. But it didn’t stop there.
On August 11th, a group of our Canteen associates gathered again to continue their support of the home build. Eight members from the corporate office and three folks from the Charlotte branch worked to install trim around the house and finished in record time according to the Habitat for Humanity team!
A special shout-out to everyone who lent a helping hand in this project and good luck to Kenneth in his new home. We cannot thank you enough for your service!
