Meet Me: Chris J. Taylor

Let us introduce you to Chris Taylor, a Division Operations Manager in our Mid-South Division who is passionate about Avenue C and his growing career. Take it away, Chris:

“Because of how common my name is in the Canteen world, those who know me call me Chris “J” Taylor. I am a UNC Wilmington Alumnus, who moved nine times before heading off to college.

I have been married for six years to a beautifully intelligent wife, Reagan. And recently became a father to an adventurous, now 11 month old baby boy, Sullivan!

My whirlwind of a journey with Canteen started in May 2013. I was hired through our Roanoke, VA office, to implement the new concept, Avenue C.

As our first Avenue C clients were being sought out, I built my very own product pick line in the branch warehouse. After great results, I graduated from a delivery van serving one market, to a route truck delivering to four. The “crazy” concept kept growing, and suddenly, wasn’t so crazy anymore.

Four years later, I oversee the daily operations for a number of the Mid-South’s Avenue C markets. I also have the privilege of traveling week to week, teaching, training, motivating and molding our current associates into our future retail leaders.

From a warehouse worker, Avenue C Route Driver, Customer Service Manager, to eventually Division Operations Manager for the Mid-South, continued learning and critical thinking is crucial to do my job well. That’s why I adore Canteen and Compass Group.
