Grab and Go For a Better Work/Life Balance

Do you ever think that the person who decided this whole 24 hours a day inside a seven day week really undershot it? We all wish that we had a few extra hours in the day and maybe a longer weekend to do everything we enjoy. For many of us though, work takes up a good bit of time (sometimes even off the clock).

So, what can you do to resolve this dilemma?  You may be surprised by our answer… grab and go. You might be thinking, “How can a sandwich or salad be the solution?”

1. Kickstart the Day With Grab and Go Breakfast

Morning can be hectic – getting the kids off to school, walking the dog, sitting in traffic, and so on. So clearly, you don’t always have time to eat breakfast before heading out the door.

As you know, breakfast is pretty important. Skipping it can leave you feeling lethargic and less focused all day long. Plus, you have a lot on your plate. Having something like grab and go breakfast sandwiches and parfaits allow you to get your workday started right and set you up for a productive day.

2. Time is the New Currency

Time is a precious resource that we have to make the most of. That means managing our time on the job and during off hours to ensure we get to enjoy our time away from the desk.

Here’s the perfect example… Going out to lunch with the team is always a fun time, and it’s a great way to form trust and relationships with your co-workers. That’s obviously important, but it isn’t easy to do that every day, right?

It lends the possibility of giving up time with “the fam”, going to the gym, or meeting friends for dinner because you might have to play catch up after work hours. It’s a choice we’ve all had to make, and it’s always a tough one.

Having options to eat on-site at work offers a food choice that’s an automatic time-saver.

3. Create a happier environment

Moods, attitudes, and amenities all affect the overall culture of a workplace. And when you have perks like quality snack and meal options at the right price, right down the hall, you’re sure to drive that culture to new, favorable heights.

In fact, happy associates have been shown to be up to 20 percent more effective in the workplace. So that means higher engagement and more goals being met.

Sounds like a great way to be the office hero! Not sure where to start? If you need a helping hand in deciding which options are right for your team, we’re here for you any time.
